Just in time for Singles’ Day on 11 November, the COURTS Megastore at Tampines will officially reopen on Saturday with a new look, along with the relaunch of their online store.
The revamp sees the majority of the store’s 136,000 square feet dedicated to retail space, which includes a new maintenance and repair service counter, a ‘gaming zone’, interactive cooking demonstration stations, and a new café.
Located on the third floor, GURU by COURTS offers more than a hundred repair and maintenance services, such as mobile phone and laptop repairs, home cleaning, washing machine servicing, and smart homes link-up.
For example, a person with less technical know-how who wishes to resell his or her mobile phone could approach GURU for help to wipe the data off, COURTS Marketing Director Joanna Ho said. These services are available to all, regardless of whether the customer purchased the product from COURTS.
There is also a dedicated ‘gaming zone’ on the third floor where shoppers can play games on various gaming consoles and computers, such as the Sony Playstation 4, the Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
The space will also showcase Augmented Reality (AR) gaming concepts, and featuring brands such as Razer, MSI, and ASUS’ Republic of Gamers. Multiplayer gaming tournaments will be held at the ‘gaming zone’, with the first tournament, ‘Need for Speed’, happening this weekend.
Another new feature of the COURTS Megastore is the Design Studio, a one-stop solution for homeowners looking to give their abodes a new look, from interior design, to renovation, furnishing and even flexible financing options and creating a smart home.
The Design Studio currently houses both a 4-room HDB flat and a studio apartment showroom, both integrated with smart home automation.
The Megastore will also be hosting four weeks of celebrity visits, starting with with the Arsenal and Liverpool Football Legends having a meet-and-greet with fans this Saturday (11 November).
The makeover is part of COURT’s $10 million investment into its Singapore stores, and took two months to complete. The COURTS Megastore is located at Tampines, and is open from 10am to 10pm.
