With just 58 days until Christmas (yes, really) one high street coffee shop has revealed it has tapped up all our favourite festive chocolates for its yuletide drinks menu.

The drinks, which will launch at Costa Coffee on Tuesday 3 November, include: a Quality Street Purple One latte, an After Eight hot chocolate and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange hot chocolate.

The latte is inspired by the hazelnut chocolate in the beloved tin and will include a rich caramel sauce, roasted hazelnut syrup and chocolate drizzle.

The Terry’s Chocolate Orange drink combines chocolate with an orange syrup topped with whipped cream and each order comes with a segment of the monikered sweet.

The After Eight hot chocolate has been a staple on Costa’s festive menu for a while and is back again this year.

It includes a dash of peppermint syrup, chocolate powder and whipped cream, topped off with an After Eight chocolate thin.

Each of the three drinks will cost £3.10 a pop.

Other festive offerings returning for the 2020 season include the Irish cream frostino, Black Forest chocolate frostino and hot spiced apple.

A Costa Coffee spokesperson, said in a statement: “This year, more than ever, we wanted to ensure we make Christmas feel that little bit more magical, every sip of the way, so we’re exceptionally pleased to offer returning and new Costa Coffee lovers these soon-to-be iconic additions, plus their classic favourites too. Now to the tough decision of choosing which to try first.”

The social sphere quickly reacted to the news, with one person tweeting: “Costa Coffee creating the only good thing in 2020”.

Another added: “Terry’s Chocolate Orange hot chocolate? Don’t mind @CostaCoffee single handedly saving 2020.”

We’ll be seeing you at Costa on 3 November.
