Comme des Garçons Previews Nike Foamposite One Collab at Fall ’21 Show

Yesterday, Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons Homme Plus presented its fall ’21 collection and included in the preview is the first look at a new Nike collaboration.

The Rei Kawakubo-helmed fashion label also took to Instagram to share images of two unreleased Nike Air Foamposite One collabs set to drop in two colorways sometime during this year’s fall and winter season.

The two styles of the classic Nike Basketball silhouette wear monochromatic white and black-based make-ups that are paired with matching shoelaces. The collab features modifications seen with various circular patterns on the upper, which replaces the traditional striped design on the foam material. To differentiate this collab from the basketball version, Comme des Garçons Homme Plus branding is embedded on the heel while black carbon fiber plate in the midsoles, and matching rubber outsoles complete the look.

While Comme des Garçons shared a first look at its Nike Air Foamposite One collab, a release date for the shoe has yet to be announced by the brands.

Last year, Comme des Garçons teamed up with Nike to reimagine the iconic Dunk Low in the spring before putting its spin on the classic Air Force 1 Mid in the fall.

In related Nike news, Stüssy and Nike have joined forces to release a limited quantity of hand-dyed Air Force 1 Lows this Friday exclusively at Stussy.com at 10 a.m. PT. Shoppers will be able to choose between five colorways including in blue, orange, brown, green, and red, which are each treated with natural dyes.
