Colin Trevorrow’s ‘The Book Of Henry’ To Hit Theaters In September
Before Star Wars: Episode IX sees the light of day, Jurassic World helmer Colin Trevorrow has the Focus Features drama The Book of Henry, which centers on a single mother raising two boys, one of whom is a genius. The pic will open exclusive on September 16 before expanding the following weekend, then going wide September 30. Gregg Hurwitz wrote the script and Naomi Watts, Jacob Tremblay, Jaeden Lieberher, Dean Norris, Lee Pace, Sarah Silverman, Maddie Ziegler and Bobby Moynihan star.
That last weekend in September is a doozy, with five wide releases already on the calendar: STX’s The Edge of Seventeen, 20th Century Fox’s Tim Burton movie Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, Lionsgate’s Deepwater Horizon, High Top’s Incarnate and Relativity’s Masterminds.
Focus has a busy autumn: On October 14, the label is releasing J.A. Bayona’s A Monster Calls. Jeff Nichols’ Loving, about interracial couple Richard and Mildred Loving, starts its run on November 4 after the film received a warm reception in its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. And on November 18, Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals opens.
