Coleen Garcia explains long hiatus from films

9 Jan – Coleen Garcia recently dismissed the idea that she was easing out from showbiz, having made no movie last year since her wedding to Billy Crawford.

As reported on Push, the actress, who appeared at the press conference of her new film, "Mia" recently, shared that there is no big reason as to why she hasn't been seen on the big screen since 2018's "Sin Island" except that she just wanted a time of silence for herself.

"Right now, I'm enjoying this pace. I get to do a lot of other stuff, and I'm not spreading myself too thin. I'm OK with guest appearances once in a while," she said.

Garcia stated unlike other married actresses, Anne Curtis for example, she has a lot of other things in life aside from showbiz, and that she would not be able to attend to all of them if she kept her focus only on her acting career.

As to whether she will make more movies this year, the actress stated that she is still unsure of her plans.

As for "Mia", Garcia stated that one of the reasons why she took it was because of her husband, who also stars in the film.

"Billy is a big factor in my acceptance of the project because he told me about this great project and you know, it's really important that you have a partner that you both believe in each other," she added.

"Mia" will be released in theatres on 15 January.
