It's a sad news day for Suite Life of Zack & Cody fans: Cole Sprouse announced he will "absolutely not" sign on for a Zack and Cody reboot. On Tuesday, January 20th, the Riverdale star virtually stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show and, well, we hope Suite Life stans haven't kept their fingers crossed since 2008, because Sprouse revealed that the chances of a revival aren't looking too good.

"Reboots are a tricky thing, you know?" Sprouse told host Drew Barrymore. "The original shows, when they become successful, sit in this little golden plate of nostalgia and when you modernize it and go back to it, it has the potential to really disenfranchise the original fanbase so it's a very, very touchy thing."

Put like that, it makes a lot of sense, despite how hard the news hits. Why mess with something that's already perfect? In case Sprouse's diatribe wasn't clear enough, though, the 28-year-old actor confirmed that neither he nor his twin will be taking part in a reboot for the Disney sitcom.

"I'm asked all the time if Dylan and I are going to do a Suite Life reboot, and I go, 'No, absolutely not,'" said Sprouse. Barrymore replied, "Well I'll skip the next question."

We may not be getting a Suite Life of Zack & Cody reboot, but that doesn't mean the Sprouse twins are done with acting. While his brother Dylan has been turning heads and becoming quite the heartthrob as Trevor in the film After We Collided, Cole has his hands full with Season 5 of Riverdale.

But acting isn't the only career Sprouse has his eyes set on. After discovering his love for photography while studying archaeology at NYU, Sprouse found himself in a buttoned-up shirt at the desk of Condé Nast's Traveler magazine asking for a job in print as a photographer.

"I said 'I'll work for free...'" he recalled to Barrymore. "And I didn't get paid the first couple times, as is the classic tale of the unpaid intern in New York. I didn't get paid for the first year, and then I got a nice job." Celebrities, they're just like us!
