Clifton Ko happiest about Myolie Wu's Best Actress win

20 Aug – Although he won Best Director at the 7th Vancouver Chinese Film Festival for his work on "Dearest Anita", Clifton Ko admitted that he was happiest about Myolie Wu winning Best Actress at the said awards.

As reported on HK01, the filmmaker, who spoke about Myolie, stated that the actress couldn't attend the festival as she just recently had a baby.

"She just gave birth to her second child and now she has won Best Actress. Congratulations to her for the double happiness," he said.

Clifton also stated that Myolie had already prepared some words in case she won and asked him to read it for her.

In her speech, Myolie thanked Clifton for giving her the opportunity to play the said character, and to all the members of Anita's fan club, Mui Nation.

She also thanked Ann, Anita's close friend whom her character Amy is based on. The director stated that Ann helped a lot in enabling Myolie to understand her character and the relationship with Anita.
