Claudine Barretto is set to return to the big screen
4 Jun – Claudine Barretto is set to make her movie comeback, six years after starring in "Etiquette for Mistresses" in 2015.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress is set to reunite with her former boyfriend Mark Anthony Fernandez in the new movie titled "Deception", to be helmed by Joel Lamangan.
In a statement released via her manager Arnold Vegafria, Claudine expressed, "I've been raring to face the cameras once more, and work with none but the best actors and directors in the industry."
"I believe that the past struggles that we've all gone through collectively as a nation has not only strengthened our resilience and fortitude, but in my case, it has also tempered my acting with a great degree of depth and focus. It's definitely great to be back in my element!" she added.
Screenwriter Easy Ferrer revealed that the character in "Deception" was tailor-made for Claudine, adding that she has been his idol since she starred in the 1995 movie, "Mangarap Ka".
The upcoming movie will begin filming this month in Angeles and San Fernando, Pampanga.
