The Classic Nike Kobe 6 ‘All Star’ Is Reportedly Returning Next Month
Following the return of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Grinch” last month, another classic colorway of a signature shoe for the late Kobe Bryant could be making its comeback soon.
Sneaker leak Instagram account @zSneakerheadz shared images of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star,” which is the same iteration the late NBA icon laced up in the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. The event was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where the Black Mamba secured the MVP award. He led his team to a nail-biting 148-143 victory by scoring a game-high 37 points, also grabbing 14 rebounds.

The look is executed with a predominantly red snakeskin-like upper to match the red jerseys the West team wore in the game, while contrasting white Swoosh branding is stamped on the sides. Paying homage to the aforementioned All-Star Game are the lace dubraes featuring details at the front that reads “2011” on the left shoe and “L.A.” on the right. The look also features black heel counters with Bryant’s signature with gray, black Zoom Air cushioned midsoles and translucent outsoles.
According to @zSneakerheadz, the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star” will be released in February for a retail price of $180. However, the launch info has not been confirmed by Nike at the time of publication.
For fans who aren’t interested in waiting until next month to buy a pair, the original release of this shoe is currently reselling for around $426 on StockX with the lowest ask at $429 and the highest bid at $310. And on GOAT, the lowest asking price is $600 for a men’s size 9 and as high as $888 for a men’s size 7.5.
