2 Dec – Filmmaker Roderick Cabrido recently won Best Director at the 10th Mirabile Dictu International Catholic Film Festival.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the director, who won the said award for his work in the movie, "Clarita", expressed happiness over the victory, saying that it is an honour to be recognised at an international level.

"I am grateful to my whole cast and staff who helped me to make this film possible, to my colleagues and to my friend [and lead actress] Jodi Sta. Maria who trusted me [in] making this project possible," he said.

Cabrido, however, couldn't make it to the said event.

"Clarita" is based on a true event that happened to a young woman in Manila back in 1953, who claimed that she had been tormented by unseen demons.
