6 Dec – Christopher de Leon has assured that everything is fine with daughter Mariel de Leon, who failed to succeed Kylie Versoza as Miss International 2017.
The actor, who spoke to Inquirer in an interview to promote his new drama, "Kambal Karibal" on GMA-7, shared that his daughter didn't need any cheering up as she took her loss very well.
Said de Leon, "She was very happy to have been part of the Miss International journey. She savoured every moment of her stay in Japan and learned a lot of new things."
He added that the 23-year-old was also happy to have made a lot of new friends from around the world.
Mariel de Leon, who represented the Philippines at the aforementioned pageant earlier in November, lost her chance at winning when she failed to place in the Top 15. It was Indonesia's Kevin Lilliana who succeeded Versoza as the new Miss International.
She is currently focusing on her movie, "Ang Panday".
