Christina Anstead Follows in Ex-Husband Tarek El Moussa's Footsteps and Buys a Yacht

Since announcing her separation from husband Ant Anstead, Christina Anstead appears to be doing well, as her friend Cassie Zebisch said in a recent interview. The HGTV star has been keeping busy at work as well as spending some time with her girlfriends and children. Last weekend, she even got to escape California for a Tennessee-style getaway with her two older kids, as well as her friend Cara Clark and her four daughters.

This week, Anstead made a pretty lavish purchase. On Thursday, she shared a photo to Instagram of herself standing beside a yacht. Her arms are both in the air, with a bottle of champagne in each hand. The caption reads "AFTERMATH," which appears to be the name she gave the boat. She tagged Prestige Yachts, a luxury boat maker, and Sun Country Coastal, a yacht dealership based in Newport Beach, California, in the photo.

While one might assume that Anstead just rented the yacht for the day, the dealership re-posted the photo on its account and wrote "Another happy customer," suggesting that she did, in fact, purchase the boat. The yacht in question is a Prestige 520, according to the brand's website, a 52-foot motor yacht that can sleep up to seven people.

This purchase, along with its moniker, appear to be tied to her newly-single relationship status. Interestingly, Anstead's first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, did the same exact thing after their divorce in 2017. According to the Los Angeles Times. he purchased a 50-foot Sea Ray Sundancer 510. While he originally named the yacht "Flip or Flop," after their hit HGTV show (which returns later this month), he ended up renaming the boat to something a little bit more fitting: "Bad Decisions," as he told People in 2017.

I’m currently sitting on a plane to Texas and I wanted to share a few thoughts with you:) . Is success only about money? The answer is no. Success can be defined as accomplishing any goal that you strive for. It can losing weight, being a better spouse, being a better mother, it can be anything!! . My road to financial success was so scary at times! I remember there were points in my life where I could barely afford lunch!! I’m serious lol I lived off 5$ foot longs from Subway and made my sandwich into two meals!! I may have even stolen a little lemonade in a water cup😂😂😂. . One thing you must remind yourself is that your journey is a choice. You made a choice to start a business. You made a choice to lose weight. Everything is a choice. . So to all of you currently on the road or getting on the road...remember it’s a choice! It really is and it will be hard and you will fail but you must keep going. And don’t let the stress ruin your day! . Here is my point- Don’t beat yourself up. Don’t do negative self talk. Remember...you have the courage to want more. That alone is an accomplishment. If things aren’t working out as planned it’s okay!! Stay positive and remember Rome wasn’t built in a day...it takes time😊😊😊. .

Anstead currently shares two kids with El Moussa and one with second husband Ant Anstead. She shared a photo of her and five girlfriends on the yacht to her Instagram Story yesterday.
