12 Jul – All is well now between Christian Bables and filmmakers Jun Lana and Perci Intalan, following the issue concerning his withdrawal from the spin-off of "Die Beautiful".
As reported on PEP, the filmmakers who spoke to the media about the reconciliation between the three of them, said that Bables has already approached them and asked for forgiveness over the whole situation.
"I am relieved that it is over. We have finished our projects. We finished "Born Beautiful" properly. We wish him well," said Lana, who helmed the original award-winning movie.
Bables' apology came at the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) event, where the official entries of the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) were announced.
On the other hand, Intalan, who produced the show, said that they have already moved on from the issue, as they were able to find Bables' replacement as soon as the actor exited the project.
"As far as we're concerned, it's fine. It's water under the bridge," he said.
Bables, who played the role of Barbs in the original film, surprised many when he suddenly announced that he was withdrawing from the TV series project, "Born Beautiful" in November last year, though declined to reveal the reason for his departure.
He was later replaced by actor Martin del Rosario.
