  • To celebrate her husband John Legend's The Voice win with contestant Maelyn Jarmon, Chrissy Teigen shared a video of the duo on social media right after the episode aired.

  • Some fans who lived in different time zones, however, hadn't yet seen the show live and accused Chrissy of spoiling the ending.

  • Although she didn't actually ruin the results, she still took to Twitter to apologize.

If we had to pick an unofficial queen of Twitter, John Legend's wife, Chrissy Teigen, would wear the proverbial crown. The mother of two's undeniably hilarious tweets have translated to a massive following, but that same social media fame actually got her into some hot water after she was (wrongfully) accused of spoiling last night's ending of The Voice. Naturally, though, she had the best responses to the situation.

In case you missed it, series newcomer John won season 16 when his team member, Maelyn Jarmon, rightfully took home first place. After the newly minted champion had officially been announced, The Voice's Twitter account shared an adorable GIF of the elated mentor-mentee duo celebrating on stage. In true Chrissy fashion, she reposted the snippet with a joke that John's never, ever looked happier than in that moment-not even when he completed his kids' playhouse!

The episode had already aired in the Eastern Time Zone once Chrissy's tweet went live. But, some of her followers in other parts of the country saw the post and felt upset that she shared the surprise before they got a chance to tune in.

The model quickly backtracked with an apology tweet-that may or may not be entirely sarcastic (it's the thought that counts). She took the blame for allegedly "spoiling" the results and promised to postpone her celebrations the next time John won something.

Clapping back even more, she also quipped that, because of her "spoiler," John and Maelyn's first place title had been revoked...and given to host Carson Daly.

Obviously, nothing of the sort happened (sorry, Carson), and we still owe a huge congrats to John and Maelyn. Fans have also already given the "All of Me" vocalist a hilarious new title after the finale-VEGOT, adding Voice to his existing Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony accolades.

The real lesson to be learned here? It's probably best to stay off social media on finale night. Until next season!
