Chrissie Chau wins another award at The Film Gala '18
13 Dec – Chrissie Chau has recently added another award to her collection after winning Breakthrough Actor award at the The Film Gala 2018 in Guangzhou.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress, who spoke to the media after the event, shared that she feels lucky to be cast in the Kearen Pang movie, "29+1", as it has enabled her to go places.
"It's because of director Kearen Pang's guidance that people accepted [my character] Lam Yeuk Kwan well. In recent years, people have begun giving attention to my work, so this character has really given me a new start," she said.
In an Instagram post shared afterwards, Chrissie reiterated her feelings about doing "29+1".
"A breakthrough requires courage. You can fail, but should never give up. As I entered my eighth year in the business, I didn't know whether I will achieve anything in my career until I came across "29+1"," she wrote.
"Thank you to [the movie], the determination of director Kearen Pang, and thank you everyone for giving me the confidence to continue with my journey down the road. There are only half a month left in 2018. May we not lose our courage and march into 2019!"
