Chrissie Chau wins Actress of the Year

18 Sep – Chrissie Chau admitted that she was pleasantly surprised to have won Actress of the Year award at the Top Ten Chinese Language Film Festival.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who won for her role in Kearen Pang's "29+1", shared that she was happy to win, but most excited about the movie being chosen as one of the top ten Chinese language films out of the 100 films competing for the title.

"When I heard the announcement, I was very happy for the whole team. The film not only did well in Hong Kong, but was liked by audiences from all over as well. This is the movie that has taken me to places," she said.

Aside from being one of the top ten movies and winning Actress of the Year award for Chrissie, the movie also won Excellent Film of the Year.

On the other hand, veteran actress Kara Hui also won the same category as Chrissie for her role in "The Bold, The Corrupt, and the Beautiful".
