3 Sep – Hong Kong actress Chrissie Chau admitted that just like the rest of her celebrity friends, her showbiz work has also been affected by the ongoing anti-extradition bill protest.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke about the issue during her appearance at the MING'S Beauty Best Awards 2019, stated that she had to cancel a mainland project because of the situation in Hong Kong.
"It was cancelled on security grounds and political issue, and I can understand this," she said.
Chrissie also dismissed the idea that she was not concerned about the political situation in Hong Kong, but that she has never been pressured to express her position about the matter.
The actress added that she will continue to complete her work in Hong Kong as required.
On the other hand, Chrissie revealed that she has recently participated in the filming of the upcoming Lunar New Year movie, "All's Well Ends Well".
"I hope that the movie will bring joy to the audience and give them some positive energy," she added.
