As we eagerly await an announcement about a possible Season 4 of Selling Sunset, star Chrishell Stause has dropped some major news which could impact the future of the hit Netflix series—wether it films or not.
"Some people have left," Stause told Good Morning Britain in a televised interview on Thursday. "The brokerage has split."
This isn't the first time fans have heard news of a rupture in the group. When Stause's co-star Christine Quinn told E! News back in June that "someone has left the brokerage for good and started their own brokerage," she paused before adding "Brett."
Rumors subsequently swirled after Senior Vice President Brett Oppenheim's name disappeared from The O Group's website. (The Oppenheim Group is the Hollywood brokerage at the center of the hit Netflix series.) A quick Google search led sleuths to a new brokerage named Oppenheim Real Estate. Brett's twin brother Jason Oppenheim, who is the president of brokerage, recently put those rumors to rest in an interview with Lorraine.
"I think Christine tried to fan those flames," Jason told the outlet. "He's not starting his own brokerage, and hiring agents, and competing. We're still working together."
"A spin-off solo show would be a great idea," Quinn told the outlet. "I’m so tired of sharing screen time with those five other b*tches—I’m done. Give me my own show already!”
Co-star Maya Vander, who has been passing quarantine in Miami, has also sought to put to rest rumors that she was leaving The O Group started by Quinn. But Stause said "some people" in her comments, meaning more than one individual have apparently exited stage right.
"It's like a dysfunctional family. You know, there is some splintering happening in the group, but you know, that's real life. I'm not going to sugar coat it," she told Good Morning Britain. "Yeah, we're not all friends. We don't all get along, but we try to. Some people have left. The brokerage has split. If the cameras picked up now, there's a lot to pick up on."
As for the cameras picking back up where things left off, Stause did say that though "they haven't announced anything officially," she thinks "we'll hear something very soon" about a new season. Fingers crossed.
