Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt worked out "really hard" for his new Super Bowl ads, because he wanted to look good topless.
It's not a big change of routine for the Jurassic World funnyman though, because after losing 60 pounds to film the first of the Guardians of the Galaxy films in 2013, he has kept up his fitness regimen.
"It's not just an aesthetic thing," he says of his healthy lifestyle. "I sleep better. I feel better."
But still, for his first ever commercials - for Michelob Ultra beer - he wanted to be sure he was in tip-top shape.
"If I'm going to be having my shirt off... in front of 100 million people, I want to look good," he smiles, "so we worked really hard."
The avid Seattle Seahawks superfan has been glued to every Super Bowl since he was a kid, so he's really thrilled he'll be part of the TV feast as the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday (04Feb18).
"I've watched every single Super Bowl since 1985," he boasts in a statement released on Monday (29Jan18). "I'm a Super Bowl guy, and I definitely feel really connected not only to football and to the NFL (National Football League) and the Super Bowl, but also to the commercials...
"That's always the most exciting part for me, and it feels good to be part of that, like I'm a little tile in the mosaic of American culture."
Pratt's commercials are geared towards beer-loving health freaks - something that really sold the ads to Chris, who loves to go running on a trail close to a farm he owns in Washington state.
"I feel the very best when I am running on that, and I feel very dialled in and close to nature and close to God," he gushes. "I think anytime you can just stop and worship this creation, it makes you feel good."
