Chris Pratt Hilariously Prank Calls Exotic UK Pet Shop, Store Clerk Remains Surprisingly Calm (Video)

Turns out, Chris Pratt is extremely good at making prank phone calls.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” star made an appearance on BBC Radio 1, and was ordered to make a call to a random location and start every sentence with the next letter of the alphabet.

Pratt called an exotic pet store in the United Kingdom to ask about caring for his stick insect — but as the call went on, it sounded more and more like he was describing “Guardians” fan favorite, Groot.

The store clerk on the other line stayed surprisingly calm throughout the whole call, even after Pratt told the lady he heard his stick insect speak. Pratt asked her whether it would be “zoologically” possible for a stick insect to say, “I am Groot.” Although the clerk had just seen the movie a few days ago, she didn’t think it was weird that a stick insect would say those particular three words.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” stars Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Kate Gillan, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Kurt Russell and Glenn Close.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens May 5.
