Chris Evans unleashing his evil side in new movie

29 Jul – Seems like "Captain America" star, Chris Evans, wants to switch sides from the good guys to the baddies.

The 35-year-old's next character just might be one that is similar to his Captain America persona, in which he gets transformed by experimental serum, but much unlike the superhero, this character will instead develop a dark side.

According to Deadline, Evans is in talks to play the lead role in "Jekyll", the movie Lionsgate is developing based on the 2007 BBC One series, which in turn is a continuation of the novel "Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Evans will be portraying Tom Jackman, who in the TV series is a modern-day descendant of Dr. Jekyll. A married man with children, Jackman faces deep trouble when he starts transforming into the evil persona, Mr. Hyde.

Apart from "Jekyll", another big-screen adaptation of the doctor with split personality is also set to appear in Universal's classic monsters franchise, where Russel Crowe will portray the role first in Tom Cruise-starrer, "The Mummy", and presumably a standalone movie next.

While waiting for Evans to confirm his bad guy role, catch him as the good guy again in 2017's "Gifted" and 2018's "Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War - Part I".
