Chin Siu Ho amused by his first earthquake experience

25 Apr – While an earthquake brings terror and concern on other people, Hong Kong actor Chin Siu Ho admitted that it was an "interesting" experience for a first-timer like him.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who was in Taiwan to attend a charity event when a magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit Hualien county on 18 April, stated that he quite enjoyed it because he never felt it before in Hong Kong.

"I experienced the quake for the first time, and saw how the lights on the ceiling were shaking," he said, adding that it did not surprise him.

However, Chin quickly stressed that it was important for people to seek safety when such an event occurred.

On the other hand, Taiwanese stars like Jolin Tsai, Rainie Yang and Ady An took to social media to express their concern about the recent earthquake.

"I was scared because I was inside a high-rise building. My heart was beating fast and my hands were shaking," said Jolin.

Rainie posted, "Is everyone in Taiwan safe? I was scared to death. It was terrible."

As for Ady, who is currently pregnant with her first baby, the actress admitted that she was very scared when the earthquake happened, but tried her best to keep herself calm for the sake of her unborn child.
