After a four-year break from the spotlight, Cheryl made a memorable return to the small screen last night in a headline-gracing red dress.

The singer appeared on ITV’s ‘We Are Most Amazed and Amused’ in celebration of Prince Charles‘ 70th birthday alongside the likes of Kylie Minogue and magicians Penn and Teller.

In celebration of the star-studded event hosted at the London Palladium, Cheryl took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes image of her look.

The 35-year-old captioned a photograph of herself in the one-shoulder wrap dress by Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko: “So nice to attend the celebration of HRH Prince Charles for his 70th birthday.

To accessorise the red carpet-worthy ensemble, Cheryl donned co-ordinating Christian Louboutin platform heels and silver accessories.

Allowing the thigh-split dress to steal the show, the singer fell back on her trademark loose waves with minimal make-up to finish.

Unsurprisingly, fans were quick to praise Cheryl’s highly-anticipated comeback.

One commented, “You look beautiful as always. It’s you that’s making the dress look amazing.”

And she’s back – there’s the gorgeous one we have all missed,” another wrote.

“Wowwwwww! Channeling you inner Jessica Rabbit,” a third fan commented.

It’s not the first time the singer has met Prince Charles, as she collaborated with the Prince’s Trust to kick-start Cheryl’s Trust – a charity designed to support disadvantaged young people in the North East [Photo: Rex]

Another joked, “Are you trying to give HRH a heart attack!? Wow!”

But it wasn’t long until publications dubbed the look the ‘revenge dress’ following her highly-publicised split from former One Directioner Liam Payne.

The former ‘X Factor’ judge took a break from the music industry after calling quits on their two-year relationship in March 2017 to spend time with the couple’s one-year-old son, Bear.

On Friday, the singer released her highly-anticipated single Love Made Me Do It – a song inspired by past relationships.
