Chef Wan slams son's ex-wife for trying to sue him

21 Feb - Culinary legend and TV personality Chef Wan was truly enraged as he revealed on social media that he was sent a notice from former daughter-in-law Shikin Maembong's lawyer over his previous statement against her custody arrangement with his son, Nadzri (also known as Chef Riz).

On 20 February, the celebrity chef shared a photo of the said legal letter on social media, and wrote "Out of revenge and dissatisfaction regarding child support, she uses that as a way of getting back [at] him and it also [affected] me from seeing Ariana."

"Her whole drama is tiring me," he added.

Chef Wan stated that he has the right as a former father-in-law to give advice in order to prevent the child custody issue ending up in court.

"A lot of people share their kid's custody after divorce. But she won't let us see [the child] almost a year one time for her own drama. Poor child is deprived from fatherly love. You've already married someone else, just move on. My son is already married as well. Both of you are not children anymore, please grow up, okay? The court has a lot of more important issues to deal with, no need to add another stupid issue of suing your own ex-father-in-law," he said.

He then listed down all the things he allegedly had done for Shikin, from using all of his money to pay for the weddings, taking care of his granddaughter whenever he can and settling hospital bills among others.

"We all have moved on. So stupid to fight over one child. Have you forgotten that you have embarrassed me enough? Just pity the child!" he added.

In an Instagram Story, Shikin responded that her wedding with Nadzri was not paid for by Chef Wan, saying that she and Nadzri used their own money from their past Elken business.

"What he posted was a slander and I think everybody needs to know the truth," she added.
