Charlize Theron shares drastic new look for 'Fast & Furious 9' villain Cipher

Charlize Theron is back in Fast & Furious 9 with a brand new look.

The actor, who plays cyber-terrorist Cipher, debuted the dramatic transformation on Instagram.

The bleached blonde dreads were gone in favour of a super-short bowl cut look with blonde highlights.

“She’s back!” Theron captioned the image of her in profile looking menacingly into the distant.

The Oscar-winning actor joined the franchise in the eighth film, The Fate and the Furious, and it was revealed that she’s been behind the scenes of all the major drama since it took a espionage turn away from drag racing.

In her debut, she is hoping to start a nuclear war and kidnaps the son of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky) in order to blackmail him into stealing the components she needs to complete her mission.

The ninth film is currently in production in London and a car chase scene was filmed near Buckingham Palace in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to reports, a police car and some super motors were spotted racing around The Mall.

In Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, London was the background to many a car chase and David Leitch talked Yahoo Movies through a major one.

Production on Fast 9 was halted by producers halted after a stuntman suffered a serious head injury on set.

A recent statement said stuntman Joe Watts, 31 “has a long road ahead” of him but doctors are pleased with his recovery so far in hospital.

Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Lucas Black and Helen Mirren will all be returning to the franchise along with newcomers Finn Cole, Michael Rooker and John Cena.

Justin Lin is on directing duties making it his fifth time at the helm of a Fast & Furious movie.

Fast & Furious 9 is set for release in May 2020.
