Charlie Dizon says life changed since winning Best Actress

8 Jan – Charlie Dizon recently admitted that her life has certainly changed since her Best Actress win at the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival for her performance in "Fan Girl".

As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who spoke to the media to promote her new movie, "Horrorscope" recently, stated that a lot of people are now noticing her, and her social media accounts have had more followers since her win.

"I was surprised by the number of people congratulating, and suddenly my social media [were flooded by people]," she said.

Although it was new and overwhelming to the actress, Dizon stated that she is thankful for all that has been happening and would just pray whenever she feels nervous about it, as much as she had prayed to one day winning an accolade.

"When I was just starting out, I always envision winning [an award] or that I will prove something one day," she said, acknowledging the difficulties of getting recognised when she first started.

In "Horrorscope", Dizon plays a police officer who has to make a decision after seeing her ex-boyfriend at "an unexpected place".
