For those of you Magic Mike fans out there, Cosmopolitan magazine has a treat just for you. Channing Tatum wrote an essay about what he wants for his daughter as she grows up. As if you needed another reason to love Channing Tatum.
In the past we have seen just how much Channing loves his wife Jenna Dewan. He has never shied away from being vulnerable in his interviews. But it is his latest letter to his daughter that has us all tearing up.
Lucky for us, the hunk is doling out advice and showing us how great he is once again.
Just in case you didn’t know, Channing Tatum is making Magic Mike into a live show in Vegas. According to Tatum, the show has a very specific goal. And that goal was to help show women “…what it’s like to exist in a world where men really listen to them, where they treat them like goddesses, and where they can feel comfortable and proud to express the full force of their sexual energy together,” he said.
And as a father to a daughter, Channing realizes that she will be faced with a lot of tough decisions as she grows up.
He said, “I don’t want her looking to the outside world for answers. My highest hope for her is just that she has the fearlessness to always be her authentic self, no matter what she thinks men want her to be. “
Furthermore, Channing explains that one of the things that attracted him to Jenna was the fact that she was fearlessly herself.
And he hopes that his daughter embraces all the things that make her unique.
Because at the end of the day, this world is hard enough as it is.
“We live in a society that has trained men and women to play certain kinds of roles for a long time, and the beauty of this amazing moment we’re living in is that we’re finally starting to break free from those roles,” he added.
