As all devoted Channing Tatum fans know, Channing met his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum on the set of Step Up, one of the best dance movies ever made. Aside from being a great film about a guy from the wrong side of the tracks teaching a well-off young woman how to incorporate hip-hop moves into her ballet routine, Step Up is a document of two people falling in love in real life. It's beautiful! Unless you are Channing and Jenna's daughter Everly, in which case it is boring.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, Channing said that he and Jenna decided Everly was ready to see Step Up, and thought she might like it because of all the dancing. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. "Within 10 seconds, she was like, 'Can I watch a real movie? Like a good one?'" Channing said. "We were like, 'What do you mean? This is a real movie! It was such a real movie they made like seven more of these. You will watch it! Sit down!'"

Everly gave it a shot for about another 10 seconds, then asked again to watch a "real" movie. "We were like, 'Fine, just put on Moana, I don’t care,'" said Channing. He then said his next plan is to voice a character in an animated film but not tell Everly that he's in it till after she sees it, so get excited for the day when you drag your little cousin to whatever movie he ends up doing because "you heard it was good."
