Champions League draw LIVE!

The group stage of the 2023 Champions League will be drawn today as Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle enter the hat for Europe’s top club competition.

Arsenal last qualified for the Champions League in 2016 and have been handed a spot in Pot 2 as their anticipation rises in the hope of a plum draw. United join them along with Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund while holders City take their place in prestigious Pot 1. Newcastle’s return to the competition after two decades has handed them a spot in Pot 4.

This year’s competition is the last to be held in the traditional format of eight groups containing four teams, which will go into a ‘Swiss-style’ mega league next year. Future draws are also reportedly set to be part-automated so enjoy days like this while you can! Follow the Champions League group stage draw LIVE via Standard Sport’s blog.
