Ticket prices for pop diva Celine Dion’s concerts in Singapore this year will range from $150 to $1,200, making the top-tier tickets among the most expensive here to date.

Regular tickets cost $150, $250, $325, $400 and $550, with VIP tickets going for $800 and VVIP tickets for $1,200, said show producer AEG Presents on Friday (4 May).

The Grammy Award-winning singer will be performing in Singapore for the first time, during her Celine Dion Live 2018 Tour of the Asia-Pacific region, with shows for two nights on 3 and 4 July at the Sands Grand Ballroom at Marina Bay Sands.

This will be the 50-year-old’s first tour in the region since her 2008 Taking Chances World Tour. Her planned 2014 Asia tour was scrapped due to the declining health of her manager and husband René Angélil, who died from cancer in 2016.

VIP ticket holders will receive an exclusive piece of Celine Dion tour merchandise, while the VVIP package includes both the merchandise and a pre-concert reception, which does not include a meet-and-greet with the performer.

Dion’s premium VVIP package price is to date topped only by Madonna and Guns N’ Roses, whose top-tier VIP tickets in recent years cost $1,288 and $2,063 respectively.

In 2013, K-pop star G-Dragon’s top-tier tickets in Singapore, which included a meet-and-greet session with him, cost $1,000.

The only other stop in Dion’s tour where ticket prices go as high as Singapore’s is Jakarta, where Emerald tier tickets cost 12.5 million rupiah (S$1,190), and a reservation-only Diamond tier ticket costs 25 million rupiah (S$2,380). The tour is also heading to Tokyo, Macao, Taipei, Manila, Bangkok, Australia and New Zealand.

Known for smash hits such as My Heart Will Go On, Think Twice and The Power of Love, Dion is a pop icon with almost 250 million albums sold during a career of more than 30 years. She performs regularly in Las Vegas under her residency at Caesars Palace.

Ticket sales for the general public will begin on 17 May through SISTIC and the Marina Bay Sands ticketing website. Members of Dion’s official fan club Team Celine will be able to purchase tickets before the general public through a pre-sale on 10 and 11 May. There will also be an opportunity for SingTel customers to purchase tickets on 16 May.
