Last July, Celine Dion turned heads during Paris Fashion Week when she stepped out in light blue jeans and an oversized sweatshirt that paid sweet, sweet tribute to Titanic, nearly two decades after the film’s release. The black Vetements sweatshirt was truly a vision, featuring the familiar and dramatic faces of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s Jack and Rose embracing each other as they realize their limited time on the ocean liner. It turns out, Celine also had limited time with the $885 piece of clothing, which was selected by her longtime stylist Law Roach (who pulled it from the design house’s archives). In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter’s Pret-a-Reporter, Celine reveals that she had to return the item (which she deems “one of my favorites”) as soon as she was done wearing it. “He took it away from me!” she tells THR, before issuing a public plea to designer Demna Gvasalia. “Please send it back!”

Celine’s stylist also revealed that he wasn’t initially sure how the singer would react at the fashion choice, given her history of classic outfits. “I thought it would be so cool, but I was afraid she’d think it was corny,” he tells THR. “When I actually pulled it out and showed it to her, Celine snatched it up and threw it on. She was like, ‘Man, this is cool.’”

While it’s unclear if Celine was able to give the sweatshirt a proper goodbye (either by hugging it for a really long time or a few lines from “My Heart Will Go On”) before giving it back, it’s safe to say that the sweatshirt is in a better place, a place far warmer and dryer than wherever Jack Dawson’s body is.
