SINGAPORE – We all know the drill; it takes a whole village to schedule a time and place for a festive party, let alone deciding its menu. With restaurants booking out and menu pricing going off the roof (including GST), many of us actually prefer to throw home parties.

Here are a few ways you can cater food, or hire a personal chef for your home party needs.

The Mixtape Chef

Run by a husband-and-wife duo, Kenneth Yong and Laureen Goh, The Mixtape Chef was born out of Yong’s love for cooking and bringing people together. Their concept includes, converting their permanent dining space where they can sit 12 people easily. Yong decided in March 2018 to pursue this passion full-time, and it has been rewarding.

So how does one go about hiring a private chef? Yong and Goh will discuss and determine a set menu with the host of the party, and you just simply turn up! No washing is needed and everyone gets to go home merry and happy. Unfortunately, The Mixtape Chef is fully booked this year, but reservations are open for 2020.
