Cecilia Cheung's former manager files lawsuit against her

30 Jul – Cecilia Cheung's former manager Yu Yuxing has recently filed a lawsuit against the actress over a breach of contract.

As reported on Mingpao, Yu and his company AEG Entertainment submitted the lawsuit to the High Court, stating that the actress had failed to fulfil her side of the contract and violated their agreement throughout their collaboration, after signing an exclusive management contract in July 2011.

According to the contract, Yu agreed to pay Cecilia in advance, that is RMB 1 million for each movie for their eight-year contract - but that the actress has failed to perform.

Yu is now demanding the actress to pay HKD 10 million to AEG and HKD 2.76 million to him, and for Cecilia to disclose her income account from May 2015 to July 2019.

It is noted that Cecilia has not been making a lot of movies in recent years, deciding instead to focus on taking care of her three sons. Her last film appearance was a cameo in Stephen Chow's most recent film "The New King of Comedy".
