Cecilia Cheung directs recent IG post at Frankie Chen
16 Oct - Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung seemed to be responding to a statement given by director Frankie Chen in a post she shared on social media recently.
Previously, Frankie, who met the media to promote his new movie, shared that he never liked using popular stars in his movies. He said that there were two times that he did so, one with Cherie Chung - which was a success; and the other was with Cecilia Cheung, which bombed at the box office.
Frankie stated that he cast Cecilia in "Amazing Amazons" in the past after being recommended by his investors, but that the actress was so unprofessional that even seniors like Chang Peipei had to wait for her.
Soon after the interview came out, Cecilia posted a message in which she admitted that she has cut contacts with a lot of friends she made over the years, and spent a lot of money to "disappear".
"Now my circle [of friends] is very small. Small enough to accommodate only a few people. Time for us to see what is true and what is false. [...] I will continue to work hard in the future," she said.
