Catriona Gray is happy for Katarina Rodriguez
16 Oct – Catriona Gray is happy for Katarina Rodriguez, who was recently crowned the new Miss World Philippines.
As reported on Push, the beauty queen who like Rodriguez also made a crossover from a different pageant to win Miss Universe-Philippines earlier this year, shared that while she didn't get to watch the show, she has no doubt that Rodriguez and all the other queens have done wonderfully at the competition.
"I'm really happy for Katarina and the new batch of Miss World Queens, [and] I think they will represent us really well," she said.
Gray added that she is always in full support of girls who want to realise their dream and use every opportunity to do so.
Gray, who was in the Top 5 of Miss World 2016, will be representing the Philippines again at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, to be held in Thailand this November.
On the other hand, Rodriguez, who went from Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2017 to Miss World Philippines 2018, will be competing at the upcoming Miss World pageant in Sanya, China in December.
