Catriona Gray will definitely support Pinoy designers

20 Jun – Although she has yet to pick the evening dress she would be wearing for the Miss Universe pageant, Philippine's bet Catriona Gray said that she is sure to wear a gown made by a Filipino designer.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the beauty queen who spoke to the media at a fashion show recently, shared that she is currently in discussions with a few designers about her upcoming 2018 Miss Universe pageant look.

"I'm supporting Filipino designers to show the world what were really capable of, to be able to represent our beautiful country, the Philippines," said Gray

She added, "It makes me so proud as a person, of all things that I can possibly do to help the Philippines."

On the other hand, the Miss Universe organisers have yet to announce details about the upcoming 2018 competition.

It is noted that previous Philippines representatives have also worn gowns made by Filipino designers. Pia Wurtzbach wore the famous royal blue gown made by Albert Andrada, while Maxine Medina's green dress was designed by Manila-based Rhett Eala.

On the other hand, Rachel Peters ' sexy number worn at the Miss Universe 2017 was designed by Dubai-based Filipino designer, Val Taguba.
