Despite not picking up any awards at last night’s Oscars (boo), the cast of Hidden Figures celebrated the real life inspiration for the movie by bring former NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson on stage, and no YOU’RE crying.

For those that don’t know, Hidden Figures tells the real story of the African-American women who were instrumental in helping the U.S. launch its space program. Starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe, the movie has been inspiring people all over the world, with special screenings of the movie being held at at the White House during Obama’s tenure. What’s more, it’s also proven to be a HUGE box office success, too, and it even knocked Rogue One: A Star Wars Story off the top spot.

Now in a bid to celebrate the real life inspiration for the movie, the cast of Hidden Figures invited Katherine Johnson on stage, and it’s got us feeling a lot of feelings.

Just ahead of presenting the award for Best Documentary Feature, Henson, Spencer, and Monáe invited Johnson on stage, and it’s just so incredible.

On the stage, the 98-year-old Johnson received a standing ovation from the audience at the Academy Awards, before saying a very brief thank you.

People on social media were pretty warmed by the tribute, and we totally get it.

As many people have said, we’re so glad that Johnson is finally getting the recognition that she deserves for her incredible work.
