Carrie Fisher reveals affair with Harrison Ford while filming Star Wars
It looks as though Han and Lei’s ‘Star Wars’ chemistry was no accident…
According to Carrie Fisher, she and Harrison Ford had an intense affair while filming the original ‘Star Wars’ movie. The 60-year-old ‘Star Wars’ actress details the encounter in her new memoir, ‘The Princess Diarist’, which reveals the three-month affair with the then-33-year-old father of two.
“It was so intense,” she told People Magazine. “It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.”

After stumbling upon her angst-ridden journals from during her time filming the original ‘Star Wars’, Fisher explained that she felt it was the right time to come clean. “It’s been 40 years,” she said.
But her memoir details more than their intense affair.
After spending their first night together following a birthday party for ‘Star Wars’ creator George Lucas, the young actress - just 19 at the time - was wracked with insecurity and self-doubt.
“I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face - a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow,” she writes in the memoir. “How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”
The whirlwind romance apparently took Fisher completely by surprise. And although it ran its course once the film finished shooting, she remembers the time fondly.
“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him,” she explains. “He was kind.”
Although Harrison Ford was given a heads-up as well as a copy of the book, he has so far declined to comment on the affair… which is sending ‘Star Wars’ fans crazy.
“Carrie Fisher revealed she had an affair with Harrison Ford during the original Star Wars. She also revealed they let Chewbacca watch,” joked comedian, Andy Ruther.
“Oohh shock horror… in 1977 … Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford got it on and had a passionate affair,” said another Twitter user. “Tell us something we didn’t know !!”
And since the shocking secret was revealed, Carrie Fisher herself has taken to Twitter to clarify a few things…
“I couldn’t get twitter working on my new phone so I’ve been away during this out of context book excerpt time,” she explained. “I would never talk about how someone was in any furniture–chair, bed, coffee table or otherwise.”
‘The Princess Diarist’ will be released on 22 November 2016.
