14 Jul – Malaysian actress Carmen Soo recently expressed her support for ABS-CBN amid the franchise renewal issue that the company is currently facing.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, in a video that was posted on social media, the actress shared her experience of working with the Kapamilya network, saying that everyone in the Philippines was exposed to the beautiful country of Malaysia, and everyone in Malaysia were able to see the beautiful country of the Philippines.

"ABS-CBN has provided information, education, entertainment, and joy to Filipinos in the Philippines, outside, and not to mention, all the Kapamilya fans all over the world. I am in full support of the appeal to allow ABS-CBN to operate again. I hope that the powers that be will make this happen," she said.

Soo's popularity in the country arose back in 2009, when she starred in "Kahit Isang Saglit" - a co-production between ABS-CBN with Malaysian studio Double Vision that co-starred Jericho Rosales.

She then went to appear in several Kapamilya shows like "It's Showtime" and "Maalaala Mo Kaya".
