Carmaney Wong is excited about joining showbiz in the future
21 Sep – She still has a year to go to fulfil her duties as Miss Hong Kong 2019, but Carmaney Wong is already excited about the idea of becoming an actor in the future.
As reported on Mingpao, the beauty queen, who spoke about her dream of making it in the entertainment industry, stated that part of the reason why she joined Miss Hong Kong in the first place was so that she could be part of showbiz.
"I hope to be an actor through this competition. I am very fond of different kinds of dramas. But for a newcomer, I think starring in a comedy would be the best. It would be enjoyable as well," she said.
Asked if she has any favourite comedy performer, Carmaney mentioned Harriet Yeung.
"I used to study with her, although not for very long," she added.
However, the beauty queen said that she will not take such career for granted and would do her best to be equipped with more than just a talent and love for acting.
"It is impossible to be an actor if you do not understand anything," she said.
