Carly Rae Jepsen has just blessed us with 8 new songs

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Carly Rae Jepsen here at HG. Can you blame us? She’s quirky, cheeky and crazy talented all rolled into one — exactly our cup of tea.

So you won’t be surprised to hear that we were absolutely losing it when we found out that the Canadian singer released eight new tracks this morning!

The songs are a follow-along to Jepsen’s gorgeous sophomore album, E•MO•TION, which she released on August 21, 2015.

In a post shared on Twitter today, she reflected on her last year of touring, writing, “Meeting many of you face to face, getting to share in one of the most joyful touring experiences of my life, all I wanted was to give back more of the feelings you all gave me.”

“So this is for you guys, a B sides album full of some of the extra tunes we made on the journey to Emotion.”

E•MO•TION Side B is packed full of ’80s-inflected, dance-able beats paired with lyrics that will give you all the feels. On “Cry,” for example, Jepsen sings, “He never wants to strip down to his feelings / He never wants to kiss and close his eyes / He never wants to cry” while an indie-pop rhythm bumps along in the background.

Side B is available on iTunes and Spotify, and Jepsen has been sharing bits and pieces of the tracks on her Twitter and Instagram accounts all week.

She *also* said on Twitter that a new album is “on the way.” Consider us ready and waiting!
