Carina Lau wants an all-Asian "Ocean's Eleven" movie

15 Mar – The recent reunion between husband Tony Leung and Japanese star Takuya Kimura has inspired Carina Lau to embark on a new project - a heist movie in the spirit of Hollywood's "Ocean's Eleven".

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who talked about her plan recently, stated that she would like to cast stars from all over Asia to star in the movie.

"Of course, Kimura is on the list. But I would also love to have cool Asian actors from Korea, Taiwan, and mainland China. I already have a list in mind. But first, I need someone to write the script for me," she said.

Asked whether she would star in the movie as well, Carina said that she would prefer working behind the scenes as a producer.

"But if the audiences are willing to watch me, I would continue acting. This has been my career for over 30 years. I won't give it up so easily," she said.

On the other hand, the actress, who also works as her husband's manager, stated that she has yet to find a suitable project for Tony.

"He didn't feel any of the offers are good enough," she said.
