  • Cardi B’s husband, Offset, recorded getting detained by cops while driving through a Trump rally.

  • Offset said, “Do you know who I am?” while the cops attempted to pull him out of a car.

Offset was detained and released by Beverly Hills Police on October 24 after driving through a Trump rally, according to police. Cardi B’s formerly estranged husband was recording an Instagram Live when the encounter occurred and was visibly forced to exit the vehicle before being taken to the police station. The video has since circulated on social media.

The BHPD released a statement stating that Marcelo Almanzar (Cardi B’s cousin), who was also in the car, was charged with two charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public. His bail was set for $35,000. Offset, however, was not arrested and later released.

In the video, Offset can be heard protesting the cops, explaining that the car’s window was shattered by an alleged Trump supporter. “Do you know who I am? I’m Offset from the Migos…I’m gonna sue the sh*t out of y’all.”

“Artist and philanthropist Offset was detained by the Beverly Hills Police Department following an attack by aggressive Trump supporters,” a rep for Offset said in a statement to People. “He was released shortly thereafter. Offset thanks his fans for their support and wishes everyone peace and safety during these trying times. He encourages everyone to get out and vote because nothing changes if nothing changes.”

Despite his release, fans have been vocal about Offset’s treatment by the police.

Thankfully, Offset was safely detained and eventually released.
