Candy Lo issues statement regarding endorsement conflict
16 Jul – Hong Kong actress Candy Lo has recently issued a statement through her lawyer to deny allegations made by a hair care brand that she was making up false claims about them.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who previously revealed that she had not received her remuneration for endorsing the brand, revealed through her lawyer that the company's statement against her was not in line with the facts; as the court has already heard the case and ordered the company to pay the rightful amount to her.
Candy also denied the company's allegation that she failed to fulfill her responsibilities of promoting their product, and detailed the number of times that she participated in the promotions.
As for the company calling her heartless, she stated that she even gave them a four-month grace period upon finding out that the wife of the company owner was ill, even though she hasn't been paid since August last year.
Her rep added that Candy now has the right to pursue legal action over the false claims about her.
