It’s time to rejoice, chocolate lovers: Cadbury is launching a chocolate orange Twirl.

That’s right, the delicious flakey chocolate Twirl will be given an orange glow up.

There’s a catch, though - it’s available for a limited time only.

If Twitter is anything to go by, we won’t be the only ones trying to get our hands on one.

The humble Twirl is heralded as one of the best chocolate bars (don’t @ me). It has the taste of a Flake, but without the texture.

We love you, Flake, but sometimes we don’t want to wear our chocolate.

Now, with the added benefit of the citrus kick, the Twirl orange edition could be the Christmas snack of 2019.

Move over, Terry’s Chocolate Orange (Please don’t really. We’ll have you, too.)

Fans of the original Twirl have been quick to comment on the new launch.

At first, they were skeptical about whether or not the rumours were true.

One woman said: “Are these really coming out in the UK? My brother is a chocolate orange obsessed human and is dying [sic] to know whether this is real!!! WILL THE UK GET TWIRL ORANGE???”

We waited patiently for confirmation from Cadbury and it finally came.

A spokesperson said: “We knew it would be hard to keep the news under wraps for long – glad you’re all as excited as we are for the launch of the limited edition Cadbury Twirl Orange.”

“It’s not available just yet, but don’t worry, we’ll let you know when and where you can get hold of yours!”

Cadbury is holding its Twirls close to the chest on this one, but it hasn’t stopped rumours circulating online about possible release dates.

The new release opened a debate over which chocolate bar was best. It seems people are pretty passionate when it comes to chocolate. Who knew?

One man described the Mint Aero as the “Tuesday morning of chocolate bars” whilst another fought back that nothing will ever be as good as Mint Aero.

It seems the jury’s still out on this one.
