"Bus 44" director wants to make a movie about Stanley Ho

29 May – Chinese-American director Dayyan Eng recently expressed his interest to make a movie about the late casino tycoon, Stanley Ho.

As reported on Mingpao, the filmmaker posted an article about Stanley which had an old photo of the billionaire during his younger days, and compared it to a photo of Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu next to it.

He wrote, "Come on, [Daniel Wu]. Let's make an autobiographical movie about the Gambling King together one day!"

Netizens who saw the two photos immediately agreed that the two of them bore resemblance to one another.

Dayyan is known for the 2011 short film, "Bus 44", which premiered and won awards at the 2001 Venice Film Festival as well as the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. He also helmed and wrote the 2011 movie, "Inseparable", which co-starred Daniel Wu, Kevin Spacey, and "Bus 44" star Gong Beibi.

Macau casino tycoon Stanley Ho passed away on 26 May. He was 98.
