Could South Korean boyband singer and actor Yook Sung-jae be in Singapore on 29 September for ION’s ION8ight Anniversary Fashion Concert?

ION Orchard teased in a Facebook post on Monday (7 August) that a mystery guest would be attending the event, and hinted that he is “from Korea and he will be serenading the audience with some of his hit songs”.

Sharp-eyed Melodies (the name of BtoB’s fanclub) were quick to spot that the puzzle image teased was none other than the 22-year-old, who had a role in the hit Korean drama “Goblin” alongside Gong Yoo and Lee Dong-wook. ION Orchard have not confirmed his appearance.

Sung-jae is a member of the boyband BtoB, along with Seo Eun-kwang, Lee Min-hyuk, Lee Chang-sub, Im Hyun-sik, Peniel Shin and Jung Il-hoon.

His acting roles include a cameo in the Korean drama “Heirs” and appearances in “Reply 1994”, before he starred as Yoo Deok-hwa in “Goblin”. He has also been in several variety shows, and was even harassed at an airport in Sumatra, Indonesia, when he arrived for filming of “Laws of the Jungle”.
