Is a K-pop idol opening a cafe in Singapore?

The owner of a new Korean dessert cafe, PLUSEIGHTTWO, announced via an Instagram post on Friday (5 January) that he is working with Seo Eun-kwang, a member of K-pop boyband BTOB, to open a cafe in Singapore.

The new cafe is called PLUSEIGHTTWO, which is the dialing code for South Korea, and is set to open in mid-January. It is located at the first floor of Rendezvous Hotel at Bras Basah.

Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore has reached out to the management of PLUSEIGHTTWO for more details.

Eun-kwang, 27, made his debut in the K-pop entertainment scene as the leader of the boyband BTOB in 2012, under Cube Entertainment.

Other members include Lee Min-hyuk, Lee Chang-sub, Im Hyun-sik, Peniel Shin, Jung Il-hoon and Yook Sung-jae, who was in Singapore to celebrate the eighth anniversary of ION Orchard last September. Their second full-length album, Brother Act, quickly topped the charts in Korea after its release in October 2017.
