Brunch and get day drunk in condo-like luxury at Siri House

·2-min read

Take a boozy escape in the hills with Siri House’s jazzed-up weekend brunch menu for a day of drinks, wholesome fresh meals, and a lush view from Dempsey Hill.

Opened by Thai megadeveloper Sansiri International, the nearly 100-seat space is decorated like one of its luxury apartments. There, find brunch plates and crisp, spicy, S$12 cocktails such as the Mary Nagano, a twist on the classic Bloody Mary that adds Worcestershire sauce to wasabi, chili padi, and Japanese vinegar. There is also the Ayurveda, which is infused with curry leaf vermouth, cucumber juice, white rum, lime juice, and soda.

For bites, start with the SH Salad ($18) made with chopped greens, candied ikan bilis, belinjo crackers and topped with ginger sesame dressing and lemongrass poached prawns, or the Scallop Carpaccio ($29) that comes with smoked ikura, salmon caviar, and Hamachi bacon.

Its mains include the Spring Toast ($23), which is made with edamame, sauteed shimeji mushrooms, onsen egg on a toasted sourdough bread spread with goats cheese and light sour cream, and Prime Ribeye (S$68), made with kombu butter potatoes, asparagus, charred vine tomatoes and jaew Thai chilli sauce dressing with a side of eggs. Its signature Prawn Pappardelle ($37) is steeped in lobster and prawn bisque while the Unagi Risotto ($33) is made with burnt onion dashi, tomato consomme and garlic butter mushrooms.

There’s always space in the tummy for desserts. The Tropical “Tau Huay” ($15) is their take on the traditional soybean and ice jelly desserts with added coconut cream, passionfruit granita and diced mango. The Bombolini (S$16) is an assortment of Italian doughnuts stuffed with cashew chocolate ganache and a mixed-berry compote.
