Broad Green Distribution Chief Travis Reid Exits

As indie movie distributor Broad Green Pictures continues to struggle at the box office, the young company’s top distribution executive Travis Reid has resigned, TheWrap has learned.

Just last month the organization’s publicity chief Adam Keen left.

Reid took the job fairly recently, in May 2015. Before Broad Green, he was CEO at film advertising company Screevision, where he joined in 2010.

Before that Reid was Digital Cinema Implementation Partners’ CEO, managing the execution of studio agreements, a $660 million fund and the start of the company’s initiative to change 15,000 screen to digital cinema.

His career spanning three decades, Reid was CEO at Loews Cineplex Entertainment from 2002 through 2006, where he worked for 15 years. After it was acquired by AMC, he remained on the board of the parent company before jumping over to Screenvision.

Broad Green will be announcing a replacement soon — someone who is in line with their new strategy around wide releases, an insider at the company told TheWrap.

In late July, Broad Green promoted Emmy Chang to Senior Vice President of Publicity, TheWrap learned exclusively.

Chang took the reins from Keen after he left.

The company recently announced that “Annabelle” director John Leonetti will helm the horror thriller “Wish Upon,” a 2015 Black List script to start shooting this fall with producer Sherryl Clark of Busted Shark Productions. The script will be written by “The Listener’s” Barbara Marshall.
